Zahrawi Group, in partnership with Cepheid, proudly participated in the 8th Annual UAE Infectious Disease (ID) Week Conference at Sofitel Abu Dhabi corniche. This event in the Middle East stands as a reference conference for infectious diseases, vaccination programs, and strategies to combat microbial resistance, bringing together leading experts and clinicians from various fields such as public health, epidemiology, immunology, and microbiology.

Zahrawi Group’s Lab team had the opportunity to showcase the GeneXpert Xpress CLIA-waived system for Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) from our partner Cepheid during the event, emphasizing its role in delivering rapid, reliable diagnostics directly to patients.

Additionally, the Director of Clinical Solutions, Dr. Ahmed Madian from Cepheid, delivered an insightful speech titled “Molecular Diagnostics with a Side of Antimicrobial Stewardship,” highlighting the critical role of advanced diagnostics in tackling antimicrobial resistance. Zahrawi’s efforts were further recognized when the team was awarded for their participation by Dr. Emmanuel (May his soul rest in peace), Chair of the Tropical and Infectious Disease Division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
